Donald Jolly (Playwright) Donald Jolly, Jr. is originally from inner city D.C. In 2011, Playwrights’ Arena and Latino Theatre Company produced the world premiere of Jolly’s historical drama, bonded, at The Los Angeles Theatre Center (LATC). That critically acclaimed production was directed by Jon Lawrence Rivera, and was subsequently nominated for a 2011 LA Stage Alliance Ovation Award for Playwriting and a 2012 GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding LA Theater. Donald is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild of America, Inc, an Associate Artist with Playwrights’ Arena, and an alumnus of CTG’s Writers Workshop. A first-generation college graduate, Donald holds an A.B. from Dartmouth College, and an M.F.A. in Dramatic Writing from the University of Southern California - School of Dramatic Arts. Want more? Deena Selenow (Director) is a director and curator for new performance. Gravitating toward highly physical and darkly comedic theatrical events, her interests are rooted in the complexities of identity and the inversion of social construct. She has directed opera, theater, concerts, puppetry, performance installation and site-specific happenings in Los Angeles and New York at venues such as REDCAT, Highways Performance Space, Company of Angels, Machine Project, 8th+Hope/Chalk Rep, CalArts, Dixon Place, NYTW’s 4th Street Theatre, chashama, and NYU. Deena was a recipient of the 2006 Baryshnikov Art Center Multi-Disciplinary Artist Fellowship, the 2009/2010 New York Theatre Workshop Emerging Artist of Color Directing Fellowship, and was a participant in the 2013 Walt Disney Imagineering/CalArts Educational Initiative. Currently she is a participant in the inaugural year of the SPARK Leadership Program, funded by American Express, The Joyce Foundation, the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, and administered by Theatre Communications Group. She is on faculty at New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, where she teaches physical acting and solo performance. BFA: NYU. Bruce A Lemon, Jr (Asst. Director) is an actor, director, writer, and educator born and raised in Watts. After attending Hampton University for Biology, then Computer Science, and finally Acting he followed a girl to New York to intern as a Stage Manager and Production Assistant at the Juilliard school. Inspired by the city and new colleagues the next step was graduate school at The New School for Drama earning his MFA in Acting. Since then he's worked with the numerous companies on east coast including the Award winning Flea Theater as a member of The Bats and touring with the McCarter Theater Education Department before coming home and diving head first into LA theatre working with the LA Opera, Son of Semele, Company of Angels, Mutineer, Illyrian Players, The Vagrancy, and more. He made his artistic home at Watts Village Theater Company both as an actor and Board Member. With WVTC he's appeared in RIOT/REBELLION and FOLLOW for which he won the 2014 Broadway World LA award for Best Leading Actor in a Play. With two careers in Arts and Education he's excited to carry out his plans to chase dreams close to family and apply the lessons learned thus far to the benefit and reimagining of his community.

He also works behind the scenes as a Production Stage Manager in the US and Europe. John also is a teaching artist with The Unusual Suspects Theatre Company and (Out) Laws & Justice, assisting youth in juvenile probation camps and middle schools to perform plays they’ve written. John is from Middletown, CT. and attended Wesleyan University. A member of Actors’ Equity Association.
